Metamorphoses

Actor, Sound Designer โ€ข 2017

One of my final-year productions at the National Theatre Drama School, Metamorphoses by Mary Zimmerman is a theatrical adaptation of Ovid’s mythico-historical poem.

Using an onstage swimming pool as its centrepiece, the play recounts classical myths of transformation, including the stories of King Midas, Alcyone & Ceyx, Orpheus & Euridice, and Narcissus.

In addition to a few chorus roles, I played the shy god of seasons Vertumnus as he wooed the wood nymph Pomona.

I also contributed music and sound design to the production, incorporating classical music, a sea shanty, and soundscapes for each divine metamorphosis.
