Stream of Chaos

Since its inception I’ve been a main cast member on the official live-play series of Chaosium, the publishers of Call of Cthulhu,RuneQuest, and the Basic Roleplaying system.

The rest of the cast have grown to be some of my closest friends, which many folks tell us comes across in our games. Our style of play is less like a big-budget production and more like playing at home with mates.

Our earliest streams saw us playing in Jamie’s dimly-lit spare room, before we upgraded to a custom-built set in Dave’s garage.
In 2020 when the world’s gaming groups had to stay apart, we switched to playing over video call and Roll20.

Through the years we’ve played through plenty of Chaosium’s back-catalogue of published scenarios. We’ve had a great time tackling the single-player Alone Against the… series as a group, and some of our longer campaigns have warranted spectacular original art for our characters.

We’ve also been able to bring our dice-rolling stylings to the stage, playing live at PAX Australia and Chaosium Con. In 2024, we were joined by special guest Mark Meer (Mass Effect, Dragon Age).
